The Castle de Santa Barbara, Alicante, will host from next March 27 until the same month next year an exhibition that will recreate the literary universe devised by JRR written Tolkien in his work 'The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit".

The exhibition will feature more than 700 items related to these books, to which various activities, workshops and lectures from experts in this fantastic world will be added, as reported by the City Council in a statement. "Alicante is going to become the capital of Middle-earth", said the mayor, Miguel Valor, at a press conference to present the exhibition entitled 'The Fortress of the Ring', with which it is expected to exceed the more than 50,000 visits recorded another sample in the same space on Star Wars.

Visitors will see in the five rooms of the castle hosting 'The Fortress of the Ring' life size figures of the characters that have been made into movies and costumes, flags, coats of arms and peoples that appear in the works of Tolkien. They may also enter Gollum's cave, it will be recreated in a basement of the fortress, or sit at the desk where Bilbo Baggins wrote his story. The organizers have devised various complementary activities throughout the year, most notably a workshop for making layers and beards for dwarf, storytelling or 'photocall' where attendees can be characterized as their favorite characters. The hall of the castle called Taberna host the Tolkien area, which addresses the biography of the creator and his relation to the world of comics, rock and film. In two other rooms multiple objects collectors who love the work of this British author will be exhibited.

And, this summer the exhibition will be accompanied by the celtic music group "Innerlands", which has ceded the rights of their pieces of the organization to acclimate exposure.
